Terms

The following terms and conditions apply to all rentals handled by Casa Ferrobo Holiday Cottages forthwith referred to as Casa Ferrobo. Please Print this Page Off for your Future Reference. You should note that our Web Site only offers the letting of Holiday Accommodation with a Car. Flights or Holiday Insurances are not Included.

  1. All reservations for properties made via the Web Sites must be made by email. Telephone or Form Generator (where appropriate).
  2. Upon receipt of the reservation, and subject to availability, Casa Ferrobo will send by email or Letter a confirmation of the reservation.
  3. The confirmation will include details of clients requirements as requested:
    • A complete list of the number of guests. (Please note that when the client's party arrives, should there be any additional members, we reserve the right to refuse admission to the property)
    • Dates of travel
    • Flight details
    • Name of property
    • Arrival and Departure Dates
    • Client contact details
    • How to collect your car (Where Applicable)
    • Method of Payment for your vacation
  4. Upon receipt of the confirmation, clients will be required within 14 days to send the initial deposit of £100. Should the deposit not be received by the Casa Ferrobo within 14 days, Casa Ferrobo reserves the right to cancel the reservation and offer the Accommodation to other interested parties.
  5. There will be a Cooling Off period of 7 Days from Confirmation from Casa Ferrobo during which time you may cancel our agreement at any time and receive a Full Refund of your Deposit without prejudice.
  6. The balance of the payment for the vacation rental shall be made 6 weeks before arrival date. In the event that the Booking is made within 6 Weeks of the arrival date, then the Full Amount must be paid in order to secure your booking. The same rules apply as in Clause 4.
  7. In the event of clients having to cancel a booking, even owing to causes outside of their control, the initial deposit is not refundable after the 7 Day Cooling Off Period. (In the event that this Accommodation can be re-let, then the deposit will be refunded in full without prejudice).
  8. The cost of utilities, including electricity, gas and water are included in the cost of the rental, unless mentioned otherwise.
  9. We try to ensure that clients have a safe and enjoyable stay in the Algarve but Casa Ferrobo and their employees cannot be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages involving or caused by clients during their stay at the advertised properties. (We strongly recommend clients take out Holiday Insurance)
  10. Upon arrival at the property, the owners of the property may ask for a security deposit. This can be paid in either Euros or Sterling in cash or travellers cheques and will not exceed €150.00 Euros or £100.00. This amount is fully refundable on departure less any amount that has been pre-agreed to be deducted from this deposit. IT is important to notify the owners of Casa Ferrobo of any breakages.
  11. In the event of problems with damage to, or breakage's of property, clients are kindly asked to inform the Property Owner immediately. This will enable them to correct the problem, thus minimising any inconvenience to all clients.
  12. In the event of substantial damage to a property, as a result of inadvertent or deliberate action of clients, repair of such damage will be fully chargeable to the clients account.
  13. If it is determined that clients are causing wilful or malicious damage to a property or contents, clients will be requested to immediately vacate the property, no refund will be made and repair of such damage will be fully chargeable to the clients account before leaving Portugal. It is the policy of Casa Ferrobo and their Partners to always bring such actions to the notice of the Guarda National Republicana in Portugal.
  14. Privacy: We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice.
    • We do not collect information about you.
    • We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us. We will not pass your details to a Third Party under any circumstances!
    • We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
    • The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law and the Which? Web Trader Code.
    • We will never transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area). This is against our current practice as we do not ever transfer your information.
    • If you have any questions/comments about privacy, you should email us.
  15. Complaints. Should you wish to complain about any aspect of the service you receive either from ourselves, or from the result of your stay and/or hire car, then in the first instant you should contact us immediately at the Telephone Number from our Contacts Page or by email at any of our email Addresses which are contained throughout our site. We will contact you within Five Working Days to resolve your complaint. At this time we will advise how long it will take to rectify your complaint and we will keep you informed of any progress made throughout the process. This procedure and the handling of your complaint will be kept confidential between Yourself, the Hire Vehicle Owners and Ourselves. You should appreciate that in the event that we have supplied the service as advertised, then your complaint will be addressed to the Car Hire Company for their rectification and that we cannot be held financially responsible for the return of any moneys owed in this case. We will of course continue to give you full assistance in this process.
  16. Car Hire - These rates quoted for the Cottage Hire include a car as specified. They are based on a weekly basis with pre-booked unlimited mileage rentals on Algarve. Rates include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Full Comprehensive Insurance, and Portuguese VAT at 21%. Personal Accident Insurance is not included but will be addressed by your Travel Insurance.
    • Roof racks are available ON REQUEST and at a charge of £12.00 per rental.
    • OUT OF HOURS ARRIVALS (22:00 until 07:00) Delivery or Collection, there will be an additional charge of £15.00.
    • GREEN CARD FOR SPAIN for an additional charge of €7.50 per day payable locally.
    • Car type shown represents the main vehicles offered in each group. Similar type vehicles but from different manufacturers may be supplied at commencement of rental.
    • A full driving license must be produced by each driver, and must have held it for a minimum of one year and be at least 23 years old.
    • In the event of an accident, if the driver has been drinking alcohol, in accordance with Portuguese Law, the driver will be required to pay the full cost of any damage incurred.
  17. Your statutory rights are not affected.
